Der Titel des Stückes hat in der deutschen Sprache zwei Bedeutungen: Geh (eigentlich Lautschrift für G) bezieht sich auf die Note G, die im Zentrum des Stückes steht. Geh ist aber auch die Befehlsform von Gehen (Geh!). Das Stück besitzt eine dramaturgische Entwicklung: von einem inneren Ringen und Zweifeln bis hin zum Entschluss, jemanden wegzuschicken (Go!). Die musiktheatralische Geste am Ende des Stückes ist vorgeschrieben. Geh lässt sich in folgende Teile gliedern: Langsam – quasi Recitativ – Improvisation – Schnell.     

The title of the composition has two meanings in German language: „Geh“ relates to the note G which the piece is centered around, but is also the imperative of the verb „to go“. The piece develops dramatically from an internal struggle to the final decision of sending someone away, expressed through an obligatory theatrical gesture. „Geh“ consists of four parts: Langsam – quasi Rezitativ – Improvisation – Schnell.
