Der Liederzyklus „Blaues Herz“ basiert auf Gedichten der Lyrikerin Gertrud Kolmar (1894–1943). Für den Zyklus wurden vier frühe Gedichte aus den 20er Jahren ausgewählt. In ihren Gedichten über Sehnsucht, Traum und Schönheit fasziniert der sinnliche und feinsinnige Tonfall ebenso wie ihr scheinbar unerschöpflicher imaginativer Reichtum. Die Schlichtheit und Leichtigkeit der Texte finden sich in einem zurückhaltenden Tonfall wieder.

“Blaues Herz” is based on poems by Gertrud Kolmar, one of Germany’s most meaningful female poets of the 20th century. This collection of songs consists of four of her early works, dealing with topics like aspiration and beauty. The easiness and simplicity of the lyrics are being depicted through and accompanied by a reluctant musical translation. (Lyrics in German language.)
